Final Post

When scheduling this class I had to think twice about taking it. But I absolutely enjoyed taking this class as we learned a lot about the environment and what humans are doing to affect it. One thing I loved it that we had a lot of labs that’s unsual for other science classes. From these labs I have learned a lot.

I thought the main focus of this class would be on the harmful impacts that humans have on ecosystems and the significant roles that the ecosystem plays in them. But now that I’ve taken the class, I realize that a lot of the material we covered was concerned with how people affect the environment. Our last few weeks have been filled with a lot of lab work examining invasive organisms , but I believe that human influence has affected most of what we have done. We discussed how our energy use puts the globe at risk and tested the emissions from our cars for particles. These, in my opinion, were helpful lessons to learn in order to attempt and raise awareness of the enviorment.

Week 2

My first two weeks were pretty great. I thought it would’ve been more stressful. But that was not the case. I’m still learning about harper because I’m a new student here. This class has been great especially the labs. It’s been fun and what I like is how we don’t have to sit for long period of time. I hope to learn more about the topics that we will learn in this class.
